About Us

Our Story

We're Dennis and Valerie Beachy, raising our family in beautiful North Idaho. Ranching has been a way of life for us, and we wouldn't want it any other way. We run a beef cattle and hay operation, while also raising Australian Shepherd puppies, tending a garden, and caring for a milk cow and chickens.

Dennis grew up farming in North Dakota, and that's where we began our married life together. Our first two girls were born there, before God led us back to Bonners Ferry, where Valerie grew up. Since then, our family has grown to six kids -- and we're not even sure how many more animals!

In 2020 we brought home our first Australian Shepherd puppy, a black tri that we named Piper. It didn't take long to realize what a perfect fit she was for our family and our farm: incredibly smart, eager to please, loyal, and always ready to work. A few years later we began raising puppies of our own, focusing on healthy, well-rounded dogs that grow up with plenty of space to run, work, and be part of a busy family. While Piper is no longer raising puppies for us, she continues to live out her days here on the ranch, chasing cows and helping to raise her grandpuppies.  

Our puppies are raised right here alongside our kids, livestock, and the everyday activity of ranch life. We're grateful for the opportunity to raise these dogs and we love seeing them go on to become loyal companions, family dogs, and working partners in their new homes. We are thankful for this life and are honored to share a small part of it with the families who bring one of our puppies home.
